Scansion of Mañjuśrīnāmasaṃgīti

This is a scansion of the Mañjuśrīnāmasaṃgīti as initially found at http://gretil.sub.uni-goettingen.de/gretil.html#RLBuddh. The text is under periodic revision and is being synchronized with Alex Wayman’s Chanting the Names of Manjushri and will include further emendations from other source.

The Mañjuśrīnāmasaṃgīti is in Śloka meter. A description of Śloka meter can be found in” Appendix A: Prosody” in Apte’s Practical Sanskrit Dictionary here:  https://dirk-johnson.com/aptes-metrical-appendix-to-the-practical-sanskrit-english-dictionary/ in “Section A: Metres with 8 Syllables in a Quarter.”

The scansion is provided in both western prosodic notation and in the yamātārājabhānasalagā Indian notation, a description of which can be found in Apte’s introduction to Appendix A of his Sanskrit dictionary at the above link.

The actual scansion was done in a Google Sheet. Here is a link to its current state there: Mañjuśrīnāmasaṃgīti Scansion on Google Sheets
