Note 27: Conceptual Dis Integration

Examining bases
Substrates, floors

On hands and knees
Sinking through

Gripping new prospect
New solid that

As it dissolves, sugar
Cube in sweaty palm

Slag and chaff
Fouling the next net

Even nihilism comes
Undone: no basis

Accelerating fall
Through blowing leaves

Comparison, discernment
And discrimination

Blank out in
Terminal velocity

The mirror has shattered; millions of tiny prisms; a single river of light.

The bracket (concept) we impose on an object includes other objects that we believe to be excluded by the bracket.

Upon discovery in a concept of an inclusion meant to be excluded, we create new concepts excluding as much of the former as we are able.

Within blurred conceptual areas, we mark off sets of similar blurr, recursively, seeking precision.

Because concepts are compound, and our conscious expressive intentions tend to be singular (or so we believe),

For utility we force one sliver of the concept to stand for the whole. (A concept at the most basic level = a word)

Sometimes we use a word to represent a blurry edge of itself. If this usage is pursued deeply the word (concept) will become its antonym.

We create new language in order to render the compound singular and to focus the blur.

When we pour this new language into every-day discourse, we exponentially compound the compounded and extend the regions of blur.

Language is a spectrum of light. It can’t be captured and pinned to a specimen display. It cannot contain fixed “truth” within itself.
